Pomeranian Mailbox

The Pomeranian is a breed of dog that is in the Spitz family, named for the Pomerania region in Central Europe.

The Pomeranian (Pom) weighs an average of 3 to 7 lbs and has a somewhat foxy appearance. It has two coats of hair, an undercoat and a topcoat. The undercoat is soft, thick and fluffy while the top coat is long, coarse and straight.

Pom's can live to be 12 to 19 years of age and some have been known to live past 20 years.

The Pomeranian is a member of the toy dog breed.
