Unique Handmade Shih Tzu Dog Mailbox

The Shih Tzu is a lively, alert and spunky toy dog that has a long flowing double coat. The Shih Tzu was brought from Tibet and bred in the forbidden city of Peking, probably by crossing the Tibetan Lhasa Apso and the native pekingese.The little Shih Tzu became a favorite of the Imperial of Chinese Court.

The first pair of Shih Tzu's was imported to England in 1930.

The Shih Tzu is often referred to as "the chrysanthemum-faced dog" due to the haphazard, round-face way the hair grows in the front.
